UNHCR has the pleasure to auction original artworks by internationally acclaimed artists and
refugee artists as part of UNHCR's Second Edition of 'Art Stands With Refugees' event at
Participating artists include Alfredo Jaar, Tania Bruguera, Bouchra Khalili, Miriam Cahn &
François Burland, the refugee artists Allam Fakhour and Natalia Sierra Poveda as well as
the photographers Emmanuel Jambo, Helena Christensen and Reza.
Artists have donated their artworks, representing a generous commitment to supporting
people who have been forced to flee their homes. The proceeds of each sale will go to
MADE51, a global brand of artisanal products, crafted by refugees, brought to life by UNHCR.
Through MADE51, UNHCR connects refugee artisans with social enterprises to facilitate the
design, creation, and marketing of unique home décor and fashion accessories across the
world. MADE51 creates a way for refugees to harness artisanal skills, often passed from
generation to generation, to earn an income.
Stand with UNHCR in support of refugee artisans and our work to unlock their talent and
creativity. Your solidarity will help us show the world that refugees can create things of
beauty, contribute to their host communities, and support themselves – if given the chance.
